Isabella Blow: the Big-Hearted Eccentric

Hello all, hope you are all well and excited that it is Friday!!!!

Last week I was back in London, and decided to check out the Isabella Blow exhibition. It was breathtakingly beautiful. The detail in all the clothes and hats she wore was amazing to see up close. Her eccentric style is shown in all the things she wore, and you see how she discovered designers like Alexander McQueen and Philip Treacy. She also has inspired so many people. I recognized some hats and dresses that have been similar to ones worn by the likes of Lady Gaga. Even if you are not much of a fashion fanatic, I would definitely recommend this to you. This exhibition isn’t all about the glitz and glamour of fashion, but also about the precise and beautiful craftsmanship that goes behind all the things she wore. Some people may think her style was “weird”, but she, in my opinion should be admired. She didn’t conform to what the masses wear and what is socially considered as “normal”. To some, it may have seemed that she was a fashion victim, but I admire her because I think she didn’t care what other people thought of what she wore, if she wanted to have a castle hat on the top of her head, she could.
