A|X Launches Armani Exchange Colour Flash collection

It’s May and summer is finally upon us or at least it should be by now. However Armani Exchange is clearly not put off by the fickle weather conditions and is getting ready for its new summer collections regardless of what Mother Nature throws at us. The company unveiled its 2013 Colour flash collection at last month’s 2013 Coachella Music Festival in the US. The unveiling of the new collection featured movie stars such as Vanessa Hudgens, Julianne Hough, Emma Roberts (who was seen wearing one of the new watches in grey) and Clint Eastwood at its Neon Carnival event at the Tradition Aviation Airport Hangar out in the Californian desert. The event saw party goers playing carnival games and trying out rides such as bumper cars and a giant slide as well as trying out strawberry and orange flavoured vodka. The Carnival has become an annual tradition at the US music festival over the past few years.

The Colour Flash collection comprises of both unisex watches and sunglasses which come in 5 different neon colours. The colours chosen represent bright and energetic feminine and masculine undertones which are combined with white or grey enabling virtually any one to wear them. The watches will come in two styles. The first is grey strap with a neon logo stripe on the watch face and neon hands while the second design features a white strap with a neon watch face. The watches are available with either a pink, blue, yellow, orange or green watch face. The sunglasses however will only be available in one style which will be a grey matte square frame with bright neon accents on the front and sides of the matte frames and mirrored coloured lenses. The sunglasses will also come with a lightweight case for storage when not in use. The collection has been designed so buyers can either purchase matching or contrasting accessories in order to mix and match depending upon their mood and personal sense of style.

The Fossil group who holds the licence to market Armani Exchange said the collections main target audience is men and women aged 18 to 28 and are members of what it calls sleek trendsetters.  Inspired by street chic culture, fashionable dance music and everything in life that signifies personal style and freedom of expre4ssion Armani is a designer brand which is accessible to the masses enabling them to get a touch of the catwalk in their everyday lives. The brand was created by the Italian designer Giorgio Armani.  Launched in 1991 in the U.S Armani has grown to become one of the world’s leading fashion brands with over 200 stores worldwide retailing items such as clothing, accessories, eyewear and watches.

The collection is available online and in stores from this month. Let’s hope those fickle sky gods are finally appeased so we can have an excuse to get out side start wearing the collection and giving those catwalk models a run for their money this summer.
